will the apple sync cable allow a apple wired keyboard to work with the ipad?

lets say i have a mac wired keyboard and i wanted to hook it up to my ipad so that i won't have to buy a ipad wireless keyboard kit to use a physical keyboard, rather than the touch keyboard on the ipad. could i use the sync cable that comes with the ipad to hook into the keyboard and will the keyboard work?

  • Sorry this will not work. At this time the iPad only supports the USB camera connector and no other USB devices. Aloha.
