    I don't think so. It increases your physical memory (RAM) space. Virtual memory also uses your hard disk drive to store data that has not been used recently. If your hard disk drive is getting full, it can reduce your virtual memory space. WIth that said, increasing your physical memory reduces the amount of page swapping between the slower hard drive and the faster RAM. This is one reason why increasing the amount of RAM available often speeds up the operation of a computer.
