Which one is better?

There are two universal remote controls. VooMote Zapper Universal remote and Griffin Beacon Remote, what i understand is that one is IR based and other is Bluetooth based. is it correct ? and what if my electronic devises don't have a bluetooth? and which one is a better remote Griffin Beacon or VooMote Zapper
