When the dock is connected to your computer via the USB cable will you see the images showing on your iPad2 screen, on your computer monitor screen?

    No, the iPad will be charging or syncing (if you have opened up the iTunes application on the desktop) the Dock does the exact same thing hooking the iPad to your computer via the provided 30-pin USB cord does, it just stands it up while doing it.

  • No. The dock is just a weighted plasric stand with a pass-through connection. Using the dock is no different than just connecting your iPad directly to your computer with a USB cable.

    When you connect your iPad to your computer, with or without the dock, your computer will launch iTunes and automatically synch (if that's your default setting). You can transfer files back and forth, etc. But you will not see iPad's screen mirrored on your computer monitor.

    Apple does sell an HDMI cable that allows mirroring to external monitors (TV sets or computer monitors with adapters), but I haven't tried that yet.
