When talking on the phone, do you hear your own voice in the headphones?
The good thing about in-ear headphones is that they block out outside sound. That is great when you're listening to music or someone else talking. The problem is when you are the one talking - you can't hear your own voice very well, and what you hear is a lot like the sound when you plug your own ears.
I have a 3GS... and I'm hunting for new earbuds as mine are wearing out. I like the idea of these, but don't want to end up having to remove one earbud just to hear myself on the phone.

I'm not certain about the 3GS, but when I use these earphones with my iPhone 4, some of the ambient noise picked up by the total three microphones (two on the iphone, one on the headset) seems to be included in the audio I hear when calling someone, even before the call has been connected. It's subtle, but enough reassurance that I never feel inclined to speak louder than is necessary.
