    A Terabyte Is equal to 1000 Gigabytes

  • It's a measure of hard drive space you use to store stuff in that's called a terabyte. A terabyte is a thousand gigabytes, which is a thousand megabytes, which is a thousand kilobytes, which is a thousand bytes. It's a numbering system where every new name equals a thousand of the previous name. For comparison,a typical dvd (not BluRay. which is bigger} takes up a bit under 5 gigabytes or 5GB. By the way, a thousand terabytes is a petabyte.
