Monster Beats is just the name for the headphone line. The Studio Beats features noise canceling in an over-ear design that require two AAA batteries (included). These are the high dollar ones ($299). Solo Beats are the smaller version. They do not have noise canceling in them and they sit on the ear. They also don't require any batteries to operate. These run a bit cheaper ($179).

They also have a soft case and do NOT have the design flaw like the Solo's do Solo Beats are the smaller version. They do not have noise canceling in them and they sit on the ear. • Well Beats by Dr. Dre is one of the best headphone qualitys you can get,so all headphones they make you will not be disapoint. The difference between solo and studio are studios have noise cancelation witch require 2 AAA bateries and solo's don't have that option. The studios also fit your ear alot better than the solo's,you could wear the studios hour upon hour and not have a problem the solo's on the other hand rest on top of your ears witch can get a little anoying after a couple hours. The solo's do drive a deep bass system but not as good as the studios. The studios produces alot more accurate notes than the solo's, the solo still get them but not as clear. Some people have complained about the leakage of the studios but reeally who listen's to them at 100% volume. Overall the studios are a better headphone than the solo's.
