What file format do USB HDD need to be to work with Time Capsule? Also, what file formats are supported.
I would like to connect a USB HDD to my Time Capsule to be shared across my home network. I use both Mac's and PC,s and i know Mac's use HFS+ and Windows uses NTFS. In this case which file system would i use and would it work with Time Capsule.
My reason for wanting to do this is to have one centralized place to store information on my home network so every computer on the network can access it.
Also, if there is another solution to this problem other than using the Time Capsule what would that solution be.

Any hard drive you connect to Time Capsule will be configured as a Mac drive. It's then a generic volume, so any file format that can be stored on a Mac volume will work.
An alternate solution, especially in an environment involving more than just Macs, would be a NAS (Network-Attached Storage) solution that supports all operating systems you have/need.
