We just bought an Apple tv. Do we need an audio cable to get sound? We have the TV hooked into a Bose system.

    The HDMI cable will carry audio from your ATV to your television. If you are running RCA cables from your television to the Bose system, it should be good to go.

    An audio cable (optical) might be useful if you wanted to run your ATV's audio to a difference device other than your television, for instance and audio receiver. In your case, doesn't sound like you'd need it.
