Using my iPhone 4 for recording two tracks of music with iRig?
I want to record guitar and vocals at the same time, then after recording I want to be able to adjust the relative volumes between the guitar and the vocals in order to get the right balance.
Can I do this with iRig or do I have to have some sort of splitter with one input being a guitar and the other a microphone?

You can record your guitar with iRig and then use iRig Mic to record vocals in the 4 track recorder. You can then go back and layer just the guitar, then just vocals to get clean sounds from each track.
