to get the BEST possible wireless signal should the time capsule be mounted horizontally or vertically

    Hi,

    The Time Capsule is designed only to be mounted horizontally. As such, the antennae are multi-directional and integrated in the device, meaning it provides the same signal in all directions. If you still have signal issues, then more realistic solutions such as purchasing Airport Express base stations to extend the range of the network produced by the time capsule would be better in the long term.
