This has the proper pins for DVI-D Dual-Link. Will this work with a 2048x1152 display?
According to wikipedia, this adapter has the proper pinout for DVI-D Dual-Link... however I've seen reports that it is in fact only Single-Link. My monitor (2k by 1k) is over the threshold for dual-link. Is this pinout misleading?

This is a single link adaptor. The connector is female, and has holes to allow you to connect a dual link cable so that you don't have to buy a single link cable. With single link (165 MHz pixel clock), you could get 2048x1152 at 63 Hz. Your monitor may or may not support that.
