Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic

The compatibility information on the product page says it's only compatible with 2nd gen iPod Touch. What happens if you use them with first gen?

  • you will be getting sound signal but all the functions of the remote and the mic won't work

  • They will function as normal earphones, with the microphone and buttons simply ignored.
