    The online license agreement states (as it says on the box) that it's for 1 (one) user on 2 (two) Macs. in other words, 1 person can use it on 2 computers, but 2 different people can't use it. That's a step back from what it used to be in 2008.

  • If you are purchasing the home addition you can install it on 3 machines. On the business version however you have to chose the 1 or 2 licenses.

  • Two MacBooks - you only need purchase the one copy. I quote from the Microsoft company store website:- "Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 includes a license for a single user for installation on two Macs."

  • With the basic Home & Business (single license) version you can install on only one computer.

    With the Home & Business 2-Pack you can install it on two computers but the second computer is supposed to be a portable computer. The understanding is that only one owner will use both the primary computer and the laptop with the 2-Pack installed.
