The Ensemble is exactly the same as the Duet but with more ins & outs. If all you're creating is loops and plugging in your keyboard, you don't even need an interface. Just plug your keys into the usb port of cpu. If you're not using any live instruments and want an interface anyway, just get something less expensive like the "One". This unit is pretty much for professionals and you'd probably be wasting about $1,700 for what your recording needs are.
