Apple's cards are OEM versions of the LSI Fibre Channel cards. I've used several different Apple cards over the years (both PCI-X and PCI Express) and they've all used common LSI controllers. (I think the current 2 port 4 Gbps PCI Express card is an LSI7204EP-LC. I have an older dual 2Gbps PCI-X card from Apple which is a LSI7202XP-LC)
