It said use these bulbs with your lamps, but do they work on our regular house socket? besides lamps

Yes, These bulbs work on any standard "medium base" 120 VAC socket, whether located in a lamp, on the ceiling, or anywhere you might locate such a socket. I bought a number of low cost "trouble light" sockets with 5 foot cord, and placed 7 bulbs on top of cabinets in my office. One touch, and you can change the "mood light" in the room. Works great as uprights!

Yes these bulbs can be used in any standard light socket.
The bulbs can not be dimmed with dimmer switches, so it's best to use the bulbs in a fixture with an ordinary switch or wall plug.
In some cases, if used in a fixture with a dimmer (like some ceiling fans etc.) the bulb may work, but the dimmer must be left in the full on/brightness setting.- Answered by Brett S from Moose Jaw

Yes, I have them in both lamps and ceiling cans - they work equally well in both.
