Is this compatible with my Mac if I have Windows OS installed?

You'll have to reformat the drive using disk utility (Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app). You can then choose the drive on the left-side column, click on partitions, and choose 2 if that's what you'll need. Then, you can format one partition HFS+ to use with the Mac, and the other FAT32 or exFat (Only compatible with Vista and above). If you need to access the data of one system in the other, then just choose the format tab instead of partition, and format the single partition exFat or Fat32 depending on your needs as explained above. Fat32 partitions have a maximum file size of 4GB, so if you'll be saving files larger than 4GB, format using exFat, but this will only be compatible with Vista and above.
