Is this 2 1GB modules, or 1 2GB module?

    I was wondering the same thing - If you look carefully under the description on this page it says 2x1GB SO-DIMMS. So it's two 1GB chips.

  • Running later 2006 iMac 17" Intel Core and got this info from Apple rep...

    To upgrade your RAM, you would need to replace the RAM you currently have in your Mac with this RAM.

    You only have 2 slots available for RAM in your Mac and they are currently taken up by two 512MB sticks.

  • For the Apple Memory Module, that will be 2x1GB SO-DIMMs (Two one GB sticks) for you to use. Hope this helps!
