Is the sale of these devices not illegal in Canada?

This device shows in the Canada Apple store, and adds to my shopping cart just fine, but... I understood the sale of radar detectors was illegal in Canada, is this not the case, can the device be purchased here (in Canada)?

  • The SALE of a radar detector is not illegal anywhere in Canada, However the USE of it is. The USE of a radar detector is illegal in the provinces the other posters have listed.

  • as was said, buying is not illegal, but using in a lot of provinces is. the fines can be pretty steep and the technology some police departments have can detect a detector.

some detectors are shielded against this, but most are not - so be ware of that.
