Is the Epson Artisan 800 printer compatible with Airport Extreme?

I am having problems connecting my Epson Artisan 800 printer to the Airport Extreme using the USB as required by the Airport Extreme instructions. Is this an incompatible printer or should it be available to all computers on my Airport Extreme wireless network?

Why are you connecting a wireless printer to the usb port of the extreme? I also own the Airport Extreme and the Epson Artisan 810 wireless printer. You only need to to have the printer drivers downloaded on all the computers that are going to be accessing the Artisan. No wires needed. By the way. If you own an iPhone, you can even download the app for printers, and print from your iPhone. Leave those lousy wires alone. Simply put, go wireless. That's why it's called a wireless printer. P.S. I'm not being a smart head. I'm just saying.

  • Your printer is definitely compatible and after easily connecting to this base station using either USB or Ethernet cable, it will be available to all computers on the network. This assumes that all computers have the driver installed for this particular printer. Open AirPort Utility to connect the printer to the network.
