Is the Bose SoundDock is compatible with iPhone 4?

My iPhone4 works with the Bose Sound dock II although initially a message appeared saying the device was not compatible/optimised to work with the accessory. However message hasn't appeared again.

Also, I thought it didn't work at first but took the case off, made sure it was well connected, and it works.
