The blood pressure dock itself is also the charger. The supplied cord has the usb connector on one end to insert into your computer, not your ipad/iphone, and the other end is inserted into the dock to charge it. The disadvantage to this arrangement is that the computer must remain on and not in sleep mode to recharge the dock battery. Once charged, the cable can be disconnected from the computer and the dock can be moved anywhere to take blood pressure until a charge is needed again. When you first turn the app on in your iphone or ipad the beginning screen will tell you the dock charge level. The printed documentation with my ihealth device speaks of an ac charge option. No such ac charger has been available-although I have not checked recently. Inspite of the charging weakness without an ac adaptor, the device has proven useful for me since my purchase in Aprill of 2011. I will now check again for the ac adaptor- it would make using the device easier. I hope this response has helped address your question.
