Is it true that there is problems using Companion (3 or 5) with mac book pro and with Snow Leopard?
In the review part it's written that it doesn't work with Snow Leopard and that because of the UBS connection sometimes the speakers power has to be unplugged from the wall and reconnected. Does someone know anything about problems?

As of today, the problem still exist. I just bought mines a few days ago and luckily, with a lot researches before purchasing, there is a solution to still use your companion 5 with your Macbook Pro with OS Leopard installed.
Because the Companion 5 has an audio jack & auxiliary cable, you will need an "auxiliary cable to auxiliary cable." One end to connect to the companion 5 auxiliary and the other end to your Macbook Pro's audio jack. You can purchase this cable from any electronic stores, got mines from Best Buy.
This will allow full function of the Companion 5 to your Mackbook/Macbook Pro. But I hope Apple will fix this USB issue because there are people out there who loves high quality audio.
Hope this helps.

yes, my friend has encountered this issue with Macbook Pro Snow Leopard.
We have tried to connect to 3 computers and they show the same symptom.
It's intermittently some time you can see the Bose Speaker under system preference.
We are unable to find the solution at this stage, some thread mentioned the issue caused by Snow Leopard OS.....
Hope this help
