    no, easy to use, you set the frequency, play music, and it works.

    you don't NEED to get the app store app, and if anything I recommend against it, because if you exit the app the music stops playing.

    So... if you don't use the app, you can play music, then read txt or emails, or GPS maps, otherwise, you have to keep the iTrip app controller App running for the music to transmit
