Moshi Mini DP to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support

I'm trying to figure out how to connect my Macbook6,1 to a large flat-screen television to show my students Powerpoint presentations. Will this work?

The television has HDMI and Composite inputs. I don't need sound for the Powerpoint presentations.

    I am not sure what a Mac Book 6,1 is but the moshi should work.
