Short answer -- no. Long answer -- overcharged Lithium ion batteries may become unstable to the point where they will overheat and potentially ignite so device manufacturers have carefully designed their charging circuitry to shut down when the battery is "full".

It will only stay charged if the charger is plugged into the back of the dock. An external speaker can also be plugged into the back of the dock. The same goes for the iPad Keyboard Dock The iPad can't charge any higher than 100%. The iPad never charges while being synced with iTunes.
