Product No Longer Available
I WANT TO BACKUP MY FILES, ESPECIALLY MY PHOTOS. I HAVE OVER 3,500 RIGHT NOW. IS THIS THE BEST FOR WHAT I NEED.
I have an IMAC.. Please advise.

I have a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 500Gb drive that I used with a USB connection and now with a Thunderbolt connection. I use it to keep a copy of my entire iMac disk contents using SuperDuper.
It would work fine for you to keep a backup of your photos, assuming the total space required is less than the capacity of this drive. You can copy the files from your iMac to the attached drive by drag and drop or use TimeMachine or via other scenarios. Simplest way is to use a program like Carbon Copy Cloner to create and keep up to date the copy of your photos.
