I need a cable to record video from my Sony Mini DV Digital Handycam to my MacBook Pro. Is this the cable I need? Will audio and video transfer over?

The drivers that I have for this older video camera is for classic. I have a 10.6.8 version. I read on the internet that my drivers are not compatible with my computer but that this cable should work for me. I'm just trying to get all my videos on tape over to my new MacBookPro computer. Any help would be most helpful.

    Yes. This worked for my handy cam DCR-TRV19... and iMovie made it so easy to import the footage! Wish I had gone straight to the Apple store rather than spending time looking at the big box stores and checking online. I brought my camera with me to test the connection, and it is the right one!
