I have Mac Pro 2007 with ATI Radeon X1900 XT but that not work with Final Cut X if I change my graphics card to HD 5770, this card work with FCX
I was visited some Apple stores & MacMall and nobody give me the correct answer about that What Graphics Card upgrade my ATI Radeon X1900 XT from my Mac Pro 2007 (serial number G87022U5UPZ) that I invest more than $10,000 dollars, and I can't play Final Cut X. I am very upset.

I have Mac Pro 2007 also (MacPro2,1, 2x3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon). I bought this card for the same reason as yours. It does work with Final Cut Pro X. I was able to purchase and download the application without getting that "my Mac's spec doesn't meet their requirement" message. And it launches fine with new video card.
Installing is tricky, you have remove all other PCI cards in your system first before you install this monster card. This is because you have to tilt it in an angle in order to get the card inside the system, then tilt it back flat and plug into PCI slot. After installing, just put back all of your PCI cards in the system.
Interesting that the packaging comes in as official Apple branded box, not ATI branded box.
