I have cell phone reception in my home, but dog runs off to heavily wooded areas where service is spotty. Will the tracker work in deep woods?

Tagg -- The Pet Tracker does require Verizon coverage to be able to communicate your pet's location. To answer your question, it really depends on how spotty the coverage is in your area. Since the Tagg tracker only sends short data messages, it can communicate sometimes when your mobile phone cannot. Additionally, the Tagg tracker will retry messages that fail, so depending on how spotty the coverage is, you may not have an issue with the message getting through. You may also want to check out the Tagg website for our coverage map.
