I have an old eMac without an Airport card. I am getting a Macbook Pro. Is this what I need to connect both to the internet? or something else?

I don't know what I need to get both computers connected to the internet. What, specifically, do I need (cables, airport stuff, etc.)?

Thanks!

  • Yes, with a simple ethernet cable you will be able to connect the eMac (without an AirPort card) to the AirPort Extreme, while the MacBook Pro's standard built-in AirPort Wi-Fi will allow it to connect wirelessly by just turning the MBP's AirPort on. You will then have an AirPort network, to which you can add anything else which will connect in the same manner, or even by using a USB cable.
