i have an airport extreme base station and it works flawlessly. one question, is there a way i can see what devices are attached to the base station.

my old net-gear router had a website that i could log in as an administrator and see all of the router statistics; ie attached devices, wep settings, firmware updates, etc

Absolutely. If you open up your airport utility and click on the base station. Then go to manual setup in the bottom left corner of the screen. Under the airport/summary tabs you'll see something that says "wireless clients : #" (# some number of clients connected) if you click on "wireless clients" it will open a new window displaying the MAC addresses of the wireless connected devices. If you want to see LAN'd computers then you simply click on the DHCP clients tab and it will list their MAC addresses as well.
