I have a mac and my uni requires me to use 'OneNote' for pc, can parallels import all my files from my windows 7 PC including OneNote and other softwa
And can someone explain how it exactly works - can i just download parallels online (purchase online from the website) or do i need a physical copy of it?
For an example, if i install parallels on my mac, how can i import my windows/software/files from my PC to my mac? (can you explain the process)
Do i need to purchase a new windows considering its for windows 8? (i think)
My goal and outcome is to run windows 'OneNote' excatly how its displayed and set out on a PC. (plus other software like word excel and powerpoint)

All you need is to install Parallels Desktop on your Mac and Parallels Transporter Agent on your PC (comes with Switch to Mac edition). Then it will offer you several migration methods, you choose any of them you like and proceed with the migration. As a result, your virtual machine will look the same as you PC, i.e. it'll include all of the software and files you have on the PC you're migrating from.
