Moshi Mini DP to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support

i have a 60" plasma with a 5.1 audio surround sound in my room. will i get the full 5.1 affect with this cable if i connect it to my reciver?
CAN I GET TRUE HD SOUND (5.1 audio). ALONG WITH PICTURE QUALITY WITH THIS PRODUCT?

As long as your 5.1 receiver supports HDMI, or your TV can output 5.1 to your receiver, then yes.
If you use the audio-out on your TV, it will work.
If you pass everything through a A/V receiver, it should work, as long as there is a HDMI port somewhere on it.

I have imac 21.5 late 2011 ,moshi miniadapter to hdmi,samsung led 6600, and av receiver denon.when i connect my imac to av receiver and samsung led, the picture is incredeble but the sound is very poor.i use dvd for dolby test.but when i connect to my alienware m11x using wmp,the sound is very good(dolby) so does the picture.

Does your amp support HDMI? If the amp support HDMI and the original must be in 5.1 as well the u will get 5.1
