I have a 2006 G4 Mac Minni with a Wireless Card, am I able to set up the AirPort Base Station?
Problem is have an older Mac before the intel chip (runs the G4 chip), I have it hooked up to a wireless router (linksys) that is a g model. If I purchase the AirPort Extreme Basestation, am I able to set it up with this computer and will it run more efficiently?
Also I will be purchasing a newer computer shortly, if I am able to set this up with my current computer will I be able to get a faster connection with the newer one?

Yes. The System Requirements for setup and administration by a Mac aren't dependent upon having an Intel-based Mac.
"Mac with Mac OS X v10.5.7 or later, CD drive, and Ethernet or wireless networking capability"
Since a new computer would most likely have an 802.11n wireless card, yes the new computer will connect at a faster wireless speed than either of the older computers.
Yes, this new network also will have a more consistent signal with less interference available for the older computers.
