I already have a DSL wireless router, Howwould I use the time capsule then?
I already have a wireless router and the main reason that I am lookin in to Time capsule is for data back up?
How should I configure it? If I configure them as both wireless router, does it impact the speed?

You would set up your new router, then use the AirPort Utility to set the Time Capsule to be an extender - it still has to be on the network, but no, it does not have to be a router.

All wireless routers have an ethernet output so you'd just have to run a short ethernet cable from the Wireless Modem to your Time Capsule? Do you mean you have a DSL Modem & a Wireless Router? If so just simply disconnect your Wireless router Ethernet & plug it into the TC. I own a Dual Band 2TB TC which I mounted on the ceiling with H-Squared TC Mount & my Wireless Home Network Is Very Fast. I highly recommend getting it!
