How many USB hard drives can be connected to the time capsule?

I am getting a 1 TB time capsule, but I have a lot of data that is already on multiple external hard drives. I know that you can connect a USB hub to the TC, but how many drives can it actually support?

    Time Capsule will support multiple hard drives when these are connected via a USB hub. The constraint will be the number of ports available on your USB hub.
