How many iPods/devices can this product accommodate?

I see description that 2 iPods/iPhones or other devices can be plugged into this item. Can it accommodate more than 2 devices through the other inputs, or are the other 3.5mm jacks for output/headphones only? I want to simultaneously play 3 devices using this - will it work?
