How high does the refresh rate go up to?

I have a VIZIO LED TV that goes up to 244 hertz and most computers go up to 60 hertz. I also have an HDMI that can go up to 244 hertz. I just want to know how many hertz does the refresh rate go up to on the Mini DP to HDMI adapter.

  • When I connect my early 2011 MacBook Pro to my Pioneer KURO, I believe (if I remember correctly) it only gives the option of 24Hz and 60Hz. When Vizio says their TV displays 244Hz, all the frames in between 60Hz or 120Hz (depending on the TV) are calculated by an image processor, and are not sent directly from the device. As far as I know, HDMI only supports 120Hz, anyway.

Oh, and did I mention humans can only see about 30Hz, so it doesn't really matter?
