How exactly to I increase the number of ports on the base station since it only comes with three ports?
The Extreme only comes with three ports, but I have 5 devices I want to hook up to it. I currently have a Netgear router with four ports. Can I connect the Netgear into the Extreme to expand the number of ports?
Please describe exactly how this can be accomplished, step-by-step. Does it effect the speed of the wired and/or wireless devices? Thanks for your help.

Typically one would add an Ethernet switch to increase the number of usable ports. However, since you already have the Netgear, it will operate as an Ethernet switch. Simply connect Ethernet cable from one of the Extreme's three LAN Ethernet ports to any one of the four ports on the Netgear router. You can also use the two remaining Ethernet LAN ports on the Extreme, so that you will then have a total of 5 free Ethernet ports. You should have no issues with such a setup.
