Click on "Apple" icon on your menu bar, and then click on "About this Mac"...
If your Mac OSX Version is 10.5.xx you are using Mac OSX Leopard
If your Mac OSX Version is 10.6.xx you are using Mac OSX Snow Leopard.

  • click the apple symbol, and then About My Computer or some such. a small window will pop up and near the top itll say "10.6.4" or some such. if your computer says 10.5."anything" that means its leopard. If it says 10.6."anything" its snow leopard. Youre welcome ;3

  • Click on the Apple logo in the upper left corner of your screen. Then click on "About This Mac". The window that opens next will display the version number of your operating system below the large Apple Logo. Snow Leopard includes current versions 10.6.0 and above.
