How do I access the airport extreme base station settings from another PC on the network?

I want to be able to access the router from a computer other than the the one directly running the base station (so that I might disable the internet access from my room when son is up too late on the x-box downstairs!).

  • Any computer on the base station's network should be able to configure it. Just install the Airport Utility on whatever computer(s) you wish to use for management.

  • Any PC or Mac which meets the mimimum System Requirements for setup and administration and has the updated AirPort Utility installed can directly run the base station.

As long as you have the password, you can run it. Same is true of anyone else. If you want to manage the base station yourself, you must maintain physical control of it, then replace the base station's password and not disclose it.
