how can you back up this drive if you use this as your main hard drive?

I want to use this as my main hard drive but im unsure how i would back this up

    Buy another drive of at least the same capacity or larger and periodically clone your main drive to the second one. If you produce content on your Mac daily then I recommend cloning at the end of each day.
