How are these compared to the Beats by Dr. Dre Tour ControlTalk In-Ear Headphones from Monster.I've had these and loved them but i want to compare.

Is the quality and clarity the same with both?

  • In terms of price: no comparison...

In terms of quality - I bought my Apple in-ear quite some time ago, so I never made a direct comparison, however:

I tested the Dre Beats recently, and ended up buying a pair of Sennheiser BT210 bluetooth instead, the sound from the Sennheisers was far superior.

Having now compared the Sennheiser to the Apple in-ear, I would say that the Apple is close, but not quite as good as the Dre Beats - both are still very good, but neither approach the Sennheiser (which of course is not in-ear, so to be expected).

In a quality-for-price contest, I'd go with the Apple every time...

    Hope this helps.

  • Honestly, those headphones will not be hard to beat. Much of the money they cost goes towards the brand name [Monster] and the celebrity endorsement [Dr. Dre], but for what you spend you could get much better sound quality from real high end brands (Ultimate Ears, Sennheiser, etc.) or you could get comparable sound for less.
