Apogee Ensemble Audio Interface

hi will this work with a macbook - which does not have a firewire port? also is it possible to record more than 2 audio channels at once?  thanks

    While the Ensemble can run in "standalone mode" when not connected to FireWire, there's no other way of connecting it to your Mac (ie it doesn't do USB or anything other than FireWire). Ditto for Apogee's Duet, while Apogee's ONE uses USB.
