For music integration, can it play music through your car's speakers without an audio jack in your stereo system? What setup works best?

You will need some way to hook up your iPhone to the audio system/speakers. This system doesnt provide any new ways to hook up that you didnt already have previously. You already had a mini-jack connector, but now you would have a second one from the device.
I had an aftermarket audio system installed at best buy that provided three different ways I can push the audio from my iPhone to the speakers. It has an aux "mini-jack" input, a USB, and A2DP bluetooth connectivity. I usually used the USB input before this kit, since its lossless and provided power or the bluetooth since it delivers the audio wirelessly, and also works with handsfree calling...
Also you could use a mini-jack to casette adapter if you have an older audio system/car or an FM modulator if you have no other way to get the sound to your car speakers...
