For anyone with access to a Kill-A-Watt, can you check how much power the Bridge uses when idle (lights off) and with lights off? I would like to find out how much power the Bridge is using to find out how much you really save by using this system. You could also use a Watts Up Meter to check how much watts the bridge unit is using.

In 13 hours over which I turned the lights on and off 2 or 3 times via the app (the rest of the time it was idle) my Kill-A-Watt is reading the minimum value of 0.01 kWhr for the energy usage of the base station, which corresponds to an average power consumption of between 400 mW to 1.15 W. Extrapolating this suggests it uses about 5-10 kWhr/year. I think this is independent of the bulbs being on or off.
The bulbs themselves are rated at 8W, but I found (using the Kill-A-Watt energy meter) that they use proportionally less power when dimmed (as expected), and that the energy usage when off was not measurable by the meter (i.e. less than 500 mW).
