Ethernet cable connection

Ok, so I have a CLEAR modem that doesn't transmit wifi (the M-Series), and I'm wondering if I have to connect the Ethernet cable from the CLEAR Modem to the AirPort, the AirPort to the Computer or do I have to buy another Ethernet cable to connect the Computer,AirPort, and the CLEAR modem at the Sametime?

  • The only reason to connect the computer to the AirPort Extreme would be if the computer was not wireless, or if wireless was not working properly. In that instance, yes, you would need a second Ethernet cable so that the AirPort Utility installed on your computer could communicate directly with the AirPort Extreme.

  • As always, Ethernet cable from modem to base station. You then have a wireless network, nothing more needed except wireless devices to use your new Wi-Fi.
