does time capsule back up mail,notes etc

Irealise time capsule backs up programs and images but what about notes etc that are in mail?

    Yes, Time Machine can be used to backup your entire system on the Time Capsule. This includes even locally connected USB hard drives. You can choose to exclude files, folders, or entire volumes from your backup.
